G'day
And welcome to the board.
Have a look around and get involved if you're interested.
Plenty starting to happen on the racing front, hope you find something of interest.
If not, then post you're ideas and see if you can make it happen.

Re: INTRODUCTIONS
I am not here to win I am here to destroy but having said that and seeing how good Mitch is looks like I will be the one getting destroyed. Hoping I will have some luck in the C class prod. thou as most of you guys are in the pro class , love to be there with you all but still coming to terms with not using ABS so its back to the test track and locking up my brakes and slamming straight into walls as i do atm with no assists but I am getting better.

Re: INTRODUCTIONS
Hey mate - welcome to OZFM.
Do you use a wheel, or hand controller?
If you use a wheel - the best thing you can do is find a piece of soft foam and jam it under the brake pedal. The extra resistance makes it much easier to brake nice and hard without the dreaded screeching noises.
If you are using a hand controller on the other hand (hahaha damn I'm funny) then it's going to be tough. Especially with the big heavy cars.
cya on the track!

Re: INTRODUCTIONS
Unfortunately i am using a controller. I have looked around at getting wheel but everywhere I look either they dont have em or they come with Forza 3 as a bundle Soul firez was telling me last nite that there is a new one on its way, maybe I will wait til it comes out and perservere with controller until then. Thx for the tip anyway. I will see you on the track and hopefully not in the sandtraps LOL.

Re: INTRODUCTIONS
Honestly mate unless you are used a to wheel from previous use, using a controller is just as good. Most of the top blokes using controllers as far as I am aware and just as Manic says, like anything it just takes a bit of getting used to

Re: INTRODUCTIONS
I personally don't like gaming wheels. It just feels too disconnected to me. Controller is perfectly fine.

Re: INTRODUCTIONS
ahh fair enough.
Tis funny that you find it disconnected though. To me it's the opposite - I'm driving a car, I need a wheel. Anything else feels like a radio control car.

Re: INTRODUCTIONS
Eh maybe its because i'm used to not have such a narrow field of view that occurs in the cockpit cam.

Re: INTRODUCTIONS
You can always use the wheel and drive from the bonnet view or front of car view (but yes if your an third person out of car player the wheel will feel wierd and for out car drivers use the controller eg the remote control car style driving which some have perfected to a fine art

Re: INTRODUCTIONS
Hey Envy, you know that view is adjustable. FOV setting within your options will pull you back within the cockpit and open up your in car view.
Check it out mate, big difference!!
Once you get use to the wheel fellas you'll never go back

Re: INTRODUCTIONS
I don't know if it's been fixed in the patches but there were reports of the game freezing up from people doing the FOV trick. Haven't heard anything about it lately tho so I guess it could be taken that it's fixed.

some people got it, some dont. ive got mine set to 70 degrees. allows me to see most of the rear view mirror in most of the cars, but not being too far away from the steering wheel.

Re: INTRODUCTIONS
Yea, was just playing around with it before and I just can't get used to it. Turn in points were all different and there was no sense of speed. Of course this is all my perspective.
