Requesting assistance in tracking down a paint.

Posted on FB and on FM.net, but i may as well see if anyone here can help me out. What i'm looking for is a specific design from FM2 for the R34 GT-R.





Still my favorite design in my FM2 garage to date, mainly because it somewhat resembled the Acecombat 5 (and 6 DLC) F-14D "Zipang" (had some funky contrasting going on in those photos, its a bit brighter than that).



So if anyone knows who the original painter was, or knows if its available on FM4, it would be much appreciated

edit: Base pattern is faux-carbon fibre. Can't get anything more detailed, mainly because its my SLR taking the shots. Might try putting the xbox on my PC moniter to see if it gives a clearer image.



















edit 2: Found the original painter, however his account has since been de-activated by the admin. May have another avenue, we'll see what happens.

Without any vinyl transfer form FM2 to FM3 it might now be lost...
Have you had a good look on the forums and SF? Look over the Drift, Fantasy and Race/Replica lounges as it might have been remade.
Do you know who made it in FM2? The FM2 forums are still there but archived. They might have it here in FM4...

To make it is does seem simple. The Japanese text will be the challenge to get it looking right and as good as it dose on their design. Unsure what it says but we can use google translator to get our own text. The cherry blossoms, leaves and branches look pretty easy as they are 1 colour and the carbon fibre I have as a vinyl already. Timing is my only enemy if I did it.

I'm getting some close ups, just struggling to get it all into a post (keep clicking out outside links and losing what i wrote).

Don't worry about the carbon fibre in the pics. In FM4 I have the perfect vinyl group for that.

Do you know if it is a replica?

I have most of the manufacturer decals and the rest look easy enough to make up. If it not a replica other decals can be used.

Just stating the obvious in case it wasn't...err, obvious, hell i only realised it was FCF when i took those pics

I think its just a fantasy design though i'm not entirely sure. Just waiting on a reply to a PM on the fm.net forums as to whether its still around, if not, well go ballistic

Surfer has done a absolutely magnificent job with the base paint, i can't thank you enough. Sent it off to Dektra for some custom decal work but if anyone wants a copy, will be happy to pass it around, this design doesn't deserve to die just because the newer version comes out.

I'd love to have this... Looks awesome. Do I get it off your store are are you going to gift?
