Ordered a CSP Tuning Kit today

Currently only $85 delivered on sale @ Pagnian Imports.

Hmmmm, worth it at that price, I ordered one as well.

CSP = Fanatec "ClubSport Pedals" stikman.
The kit has a variety of parts so you can tune the pedals more to your own liking.
Definitely boys toys mate, don't think there are any parts that girls would be interested in playing with.

Yeah I am keen to swap out the plastic bearings for the brass ones and to shorten the travel of the break pedal.

The new ones already have brass bushes.

I haven't pulled it appart to check, I just assumed they where plastic. Not to worry.

No need to pull it apart. You can see the bushes inserted in the pedal arm where they pivot. If they're shiney brassy looking things, then they're brass. Otherwise the early models had plastic, which strangely is whats in the CS Pedal tuning kit picture on the fanatec and pagnian site (don't ask me why).

Fanatec started shipping CS pedals with brass bushes around when the GT3 wheel came out.
If you bought the pedals with a GT2 wheel from Pagnian I'd bet you've got brass bushes,
mine has.

I probably do then. I still want to shorten the throw on the brake and probably the accelerator pedal also.

No mate,

I had intentions to get straight into it, but have decided to do a full dismantle and re-assembly making some setup changes along the way. Intend to have ago this week coming.

Good find on gtplanet, had seen that as well. I noticed though the kit I received also has a couple of extra parts not shown in the review pics. There are 3 steel bars which would be replacements for the original pedal linkage pins.

I'll post here when I've done mine.

Nah not yet. I only just got home from a week away.

It would be nice if they included some instructions with the kit.

did the kit come with the plastic bushes or the brass ones as i just got the turbo s wheel and pedals and it has the plastic bushes

I just swapped out the accelerator spring for the 30% stronger one, swapped the clutch spring for the copper coloured normal one and swapped the break bar for the longer 30mm one and the foam insert for the slightly firmer alternative.

Not the easiest thing to pull apart. It is straightforward enough but the spring tension means that it is much easier to do with a second set of hands to help.

I'll be very interested in hearing your impressions of the changes.
Specially the brake feel and travel. Is the foam really different to the original? I know the gtplanet review says the relacement is firmer, but I thought the fanatec blurb said it was a straight replacement for the original.
Did you disconnect the brake load cell to do the work and if you did, was it just a straight unplug or are there retaining clips on the connector?

As for getting some instructions from them, as likely as getting setup info for the wheel, lol. Gotto be grateful there are guys ready to post reviews.

The stronger accelerator spring feels exactly the same to the standard one to me.
The clutch spring is the same but a different colour so no change there either.
The brake feels better but it throws your ABS setting out obviously. It doesn't really feel like a shorter throw so much as it just gets harder to push a littler sooner than the standard. The foam piece that I put in looked the same as the one that I took out.

You need to disconnect a tiny 3-pin jumper so that when the spring tension is released and the pedal rotates around, it doesn't rip it out.

I need to drive a bit more before I can tell if it is really an improvement or not but my initial impressions is that it is for the brake at least.

I took the spacer out from behind the accelerator pedal when I first got the CSPs and I recommend you do that as it puts the pedal a little lower than the brake. I find it more comfortable that way.

If you're wanting a heavier accellerator you can also use the clutch springs. I read where one guy had done that.

Thanks for the heads up on removing the jumper. I've looked at it but not that close yet.

I'm happy with the resistance of the accelerator pedal, you don't want it too stiff and the clutch is also fine.

The brake does feel better but I'm not sure how much of that is the new bar and how much is just Forza 4 (demo) handling.

Made some mods to my CS Pedals last weekend.

I installed the longer steel brake actuator rod and the firmer foam insert. Also lubed the entire pedal set.

The brake change has given me much shorter pedal travel.
No real change to pressure, which you can alter with the brake resistance dial anyway.
I definitely like the shorter brake operation better than the longer travel of the standard setup.
