Yeah haha thats cool, but that model wrx in real life has a deep throaty burble to it.. In the game, it sounds like the H6 out of the liberty...

prob coz the yanks put some gay restrictor on it or something, i wouldnt doubt theyd do something to stop it from sounding good.
I have driven a mates old WRX and i know the burble you mean.

Who knows, ...not like T10 to cut a few corners now is it....(anyone who recalls FM3 release will know what i mean)

Would it be possible to load a mp3 and play that instead of that awful music?
Maybe even make a mp3 that is silent.

Heya folks, it's been a long time. Thought i'd give the F4 demo a try and sliding around in the Mercury Cougar has me cracking a big smile. Haven't put a lot of time into it and unlike you guys who have been playing F3 for so long, i'm probably not noticing any good or bad differences. Must agree with the horrible music though...

Don't want to stray off topic too much but looks like this place has really taken off, seems to be a lot of activity about upon a brief look.

I'm still looking forwards to the full version, and I definitely disagree with Ted regarding it handling like NFS Shift 2. That was terrible! This is much better and felt a bit more intense than FM3 without being completely random like NFSS2 was.

yeah it feels much better than Shift, but it's like they've taken FM3 and stuck the wierd tail end feeling of Shift into the cars, just not as pronounced. just doesn't feel right...i also noticed that using the Mercury it doesn't step out easily like i would expect a V8 on cheese-cutter tyres. i can full throttle it through some of the sweepers and it just grips like TCS is already on. i'm finding the level and feeling of understeer somewhat unconvincing too, but i do like how the car judders a little and the vibration slightly kicks in when it understeers under power, it's a cool touch.

ok so im not the only one who thinks the WRX sounds neutered lol
and the Pagini does sound stunning, it just needs more echo around the closed in areas though.

On second try...would a supercar like the Zonda really slide over the track that much!! Somehow I don't think it would.

Yeah it definately wouldn't understeer that much!

Loved it at first but after having a go today the handling is too random as ted said. The body roll is overdone, cars dont grip as you would assume and those damn AI cars are suicidal

i have had a fair go and the more i play it the more fun it is because im learning how to drive in it rather than driving like FM3 and i don't feel the under-steer as bad now

You cant stay up the gas all the way through corners now, not like FM3, you can find where the grip gives up and then it will start to understeer, alot more like real life, finding the breaking point in the tyres grip and driving to it, slower is deflnatly faster so far, alot of the corners in the Zonda are taken at half throtle or less....

Also you have to find the apex, unlike FM3 if you missed the apex lifted off abit you could still make the corner, so far with the Zonda if you miss the apex then you instantly going to loss a bucket load of time, very rewarding when you get it right, alot more like real life in this sense aswell, miss the apex now you have to get off the gas to get the front end pointed back in enough just to get around the corner.

Love it had a good go last night,once you work it out and adjust then its heaps of fun...

and theres my problem, i push the car too hard and end up under steering a lot of the corners i still managed to beat your time though, took me ages!!

Not sure if im right or not in saying this.. but i think i heard something about Sounds changing as u upgrade the cars ??

From my experiance standered rexys do have that distinct boxer engine sound.. but when u put a exchaust on it.. it really stands out.. maybe when u upgrade the exchaust system the sound might be more prodomanant. ?? but i could be wrong just thought i heard something on one of the FM4 vids in regards to car sounds..

Im still all wet over the sound of the pagani hehehehe

I wonder if the handling problems you guys are feeling is the fact the track temp is -4.

I was chasing Teeroys Pagani time last night, what an awesome car to drive! Sounds fantastic and once you start pushing the limits a bit the car really comes alive. 16 man grid of Paganis would be heaps of fun!
