I have been wondering lately what will happen since in a few years time there will be no "Australia's" Commodore and the Falcon looks like its also going to hit the Extinct list, so i did some homework.
Listen to Mr. Scaife quite carefully in the first Vid, particularly his mention of "a mazda 6 would fit project blueprint" and the engines compiling to a set weight/power output "as long as it fits there specs it would be fine".
My ears picked up more when he mentions a quad cam V8 would be fine as long as it fits there specs.

Toyota been testing a new S2000 spec WRC car for the last 3 years ready for when there ban gets lifted, also they have re-entered the BTCC this year with a factory built Corolla for a "testing" season driven by Frank Wrathall.
Finally they made a lot of noise about going DTM Racing close to 12 months ago - Re-skinning a Opel as a LF-A to show what it might look like

Rado's FWD Scion looks crazy with all the aero but with over 800hp it serves its purpose.
LIC Motorsport (remember the Takata livery comp from FM.net? Same team, new livery, new driver and more power!) took Limited class honours with a 1:41.888 and in 2nd was the 034 Motorsport Audi B5 with a 1:43.261.
The FX Motorsports Development NSX ran a 1:34.564 (track record) to take Unlimited, RWD and outright honours. The GST Motorsports Subaru Impreza took 2nd and AWD win with a 1:37.058. It's a shame that in the US the unlimited class can run race slicks... Might be one of the reasons FX and GST pulled out of the World Time Attack in 2010 and 2011 as we use the same rules as in Japan and run with radials.
