Races for Veloster racing
This series will be running Hyundai Velosters using a fixed tune. search for this using my gamertag.
Driver Groups
There will be 4 handicap groups:
Platinum 90% Power 95% Front Grip 95% Rear Grip
Freak drivers such as King Bowler, OzDrifter etc.
Gold 95% power 100% Front Grip 95% Rear Grip
Fast drivers like Jedeye, Bacon, Retread etc
Silver 100% Power 100% Front Grip 95% Rear Grip
Average drivers such as Beej, XR06t etc
Bronze 100% Power, Grip
Slow drivers like myself, Adam etc
Points
Points will be;
1st = 30pt
2nd = 25pt
3rd = 22pt
4th = 20pt
5th = 18pt
6th = 17pt
7th = 16pt
There will be a cap on entrants equal to the maximum people able to connect to a party, with preference given to lower skilled drivers.
Drop outs and DNFs will receive points based on how close they came to finishing. For example if someone dropped out on lap 7 they would receive more points than someone that dropped out on lap 3 regardless of their position when they dropped out.
If a serious attempt was made to join the lobby, but due to XBOX or ISP issues was unable to actually race, they will receive 5 points or 3 places lower than awarded on the night, whichever is higher.
Each race will consist of at least 49km +1lap. 2 races will be held each Friday night.
The only decal layers that are required are that you have your racing number at least 1/3 the height of your front doors, and your gamertag on the rear of your car large enough to be legible.
At the end of each round a "Now for something completely different" race will be held, with the track to be chosen by the previous weeks driver that came last in race 1, and the car/s chosen by the driver that came last in race 2. This race will not be counted towards the championship, and is purely for fun.

Tracks will consist of;
Week 1
Road America
Hockenheim
Week 2
Monza
Long Beach
Week 3
Catalunya
Bernese Alps full
Week 4
Road Atlanta
Bathurst
Week 5

minimum 50KM each.
Races will use tyre and fuel damage only, and default collisions (ie ghosting for stopped cars)

Liking the two tracks in one night format, good mix.

Re: Races for Veloster racing
Will try to get on this tonight.
Struggled last week. Possibly me on the wheel being the main issue but will still persist as it is more enjoyable steering a wheel over a stick. Love FWD but with tuning restricted just adds another challenge.
With the "Now for something completely different" race last week the guys had me pick the car and track as I came last both rounds (don't laugh, :-P ) for that week. I thought it was the drivers that came last the week before that chose. Either way I made a pick and it seems all had fun (NGTC on Silverstone Int). If I am to pick for this week as well (unfair?) I would go GT3's on Spa. Wet track maybe? Spa 24 on this weekend with SVG on provisional pole in the #59 McLaren. Reason enough I say ;-) .
** Spa wet is much challenge... Dry would be more fun.
