Rally Day Heroes Information thread.
This series is only for Pro Am and Am drivers. Pro and Elite are not eligible.
Time:
Lobby will be open at appropriately 8.00PM Victorian time. Races will start at 8.30PM. If you are not there you will miss out.
Cars:
The eligible cars in in this LINK
Conversions of drive type, engine and aspiration are banned.
Adjustable parts are not allowed. The only adjustable part of the car should be tyre pressures.
Group A will use a PI of 560.
Group B will use a PI of 575.
Group C will use a PI of 605.
Races:
All races will be as many laps as needed to cover 50km.
29/01 - Laguna Seca, 14 Laps
05/02 - Yas Marina Corkscrew Night, 11 Laps
12/02 - Bugatti Night - 13 laps
19/02 - Road Atlanta - 13 Laps
26/02 - Nurburgring Full Circuit (Damage off) - 3 laps
Groups:
There are three groups. These are set to make the racing as close as possible. The idea is that groups will be sort according to how fast a driver is compared to Bacon's level of sobriety. If bacon cannot beat you sober, you are in Group A, if you cannot catch Bacon when he is hammered you are in Group C, if you fall between these you are in Group B(acon). If a driver is completely dominating they will be moved up a group.
Points:
1st - 30
2nd - 25
3rd - 22
4th - 20
5th - 19
6th - 18
7th - 17
and so on.
Fastest lap will receive one extra point.
Drop outs will receive points in order of their disconnection, with the last drop out receiving higher points than previous ones.
Drivers that DNS due to connection issues in the half an hour before the race start will receive points for two places after the last classified (or dropped out driver).
Livery:
No tobacco. Driver's number must be large and stand out enough to be easily recognised for other drivers and for replays. Anything else goes.
See you soon

The Bacon Principle. This may be the single best idea ever but how do we measure ourselves against this pillar of yardsticks? Will there be a group night where we can all chase Bacon?

Re: Rally Day Heroes Information thread.
Its based on past results and times Mr Bacon was nice enough to do for me. Jedeye and Nate are solidly group A. I believe yourself and Woody are group B, and Tunz and I are group C

No, these are the Forza determined rally heroes from the career mode and not actual rally heroes (well except for a few). A suggestion has been made for a main series running pre 90 rally legends including the GT4 among others.

Driver classes will be up by Tuesday at the latest. Most of you know where you are though, and I reserve the right to change peoples classes if they dominate too much, or 8f they are getting left behind.

Re: Rally Day Heroes Information thread.
For this season I'll be introducing a now for something completely different race after the two main races.
For the first race of this we'll be running the 1995 corvette zr1 at 600PI. The race will be 50km or there abouts and the track will be chosen by the loser of race 1.
The car for the following week may be chosen by the loser of race 2.

Novel Idea.. should be a stack of fun.
Exactly same cars.. tight racing, for some.. I'll still hang out the back

Re: Rally Day Heroes Information thread.
Round 3 Feature Race - "A Taste of Things to Come"
Track: Catalunya National Circuit
Laps: 20 (estimated race time 30 minutes or less)
**Two Mandatory Pit-stops & Forced Cockpit View**
**Simulation Damage & Collisions Always On**
Car: 2015 Formula Mazda
Locked Tune by Nate4984. Search for "OZFM". Description is "OZFM CR2 Round 3 Feature"
Race Tips
* These cars handle really well and have great grip. Just don't smash the gas pedal too quickly.
* We are using Drag tyres. They are extra grippy but after 7-8 Laps, depending on how you drive, you will be at above 80% wear and will need to pit, hence the 2 Mandatory Pit-stops.
