V8 Series XI - Livery Guidelines
OZFM V8 Series XI Livery Guidelines
All cars will require a livery.
Numberboards, Race Numbers and license:
- - Distributed numberboard are to be used.
- - Each license will have a set of numberboards.
- - Numberboards should be present on both sides of the car.
- - Numberboards must not be modified in any way other than your race number.
- - Use the font "UPPER LETTERS 1" only for your race number.
- - Skew angle 0.17
- - Number colour needs to be fluro yellow (pick yellow and adjust a few clicks towards green).
- - Numberboard to be positioned between the front wheel arch and the front door handle. Must be positioned to the top of the door/fender and can be angled no more than 30o
* * The numberboard is similar to the event sticker used by V8 Supercars or the Dunlop sticker in the Dunlop Series but ours will have an extra box for your race number.
* * You can run with a large number (eg: GRM #33 Volvo) or a classic numberboard (eg: retro Bathurst livery) but you will still need the numberboard we are using in the series.
OZFM V8 sticker to be shown on car.
- - Must be placed on each side of the car.
- - To be placed low and behind the front wheel arch. Can be placed on side skirt.
- - Must not be modified in any way.
- - Can be angled no more than 30o
- - 3 versions will be available. Use the one that best suits your livery.
* * Similar to the official "S" sticker used by V8 Supercars and the Dunlop Series.
Sponsors:
- - Anything goes, however...
- - No tobacco (banned in all Australian motor racing since 1996)
- - No Alterations to tobacco advertising will be allowed (eg: "Benson & Hedges" to "Be On Edge", "Marlboro" as a barcode, etc)
- - Nothing explicit or offensive (A posted video or photo featuring the offending design may see your GamerTag banned by T10 or M$)
Vinyl Groups:
- - All required vinyls will be shared.
- - All Numberboards and Series sticker should be the correct size.
* * Photos below show their size on the car.
Body Work and Tints:
- - Painting of widebodies, vents, extra side exhausts, etc will not be allowed.
- - Windows to retain original tint. No darker or coloured tints allowed (because Racecar).
- - This series is based on the real world V8 Supercar series so the cars must replicate those.
Replica Liveries:
- - Will be accepted but must follow the livery rules.
Shared Liveries:
- - You may download a shared livery but must follow the Livery rules (numberboard rule will not be enforced).
- - If using a shared livery try to use one that is either a replica or inspired by the official V8 Supercars, Dunlop Series or NZ V8's.
- - Series organisers will need to approve downloaded shared liveries.
- - Painters can create multiple liveries following the rules and share them for other drivers to run.
The livery rules must be adhered to by all competitors and painters.
All paintable areas can be used.
Livery Guidelines are subject to change

Re: V8 Series XI - Livery Guidelines
Where are the stickers we need?
Vinyl Groups are uploaded/shared.
Search "OZFM" or GT: surferofthemind.
Please use this thread for questions, works in progress, etc. We will set a thread to showcase your finished liveries.
Search for OZFM and you will find plenty of stickers. The V8 stickers should be the correct size for all cars.
How to find the stickers:
Select your car, go to Paint.
Select Apply Decals.
Select New Layer, then Apply a Vinyl Shape.
Press the left bumper to go to Recommended Groups.
Press the button that looks like 2 squares (what was the old Back button) to open up the search.
In the description type in "OZFM" then select search.
You should find the decals you need.
OZFM V8 (the Series sticker). Select the one that best suits you livery.
ozfm v8 wb (white box)
ozfm v8 wc (white text, clear back)
ozfm v8 bc (black text, clear back)
OZFM V8 left (left numberboard)
ozfm v8 e l (Elite)
ozfm v8 p l (Pro)
ozfm v8 pa l (Pro-Am)
ozfm v8 a l (Amateur)
ozfm v8 c l (Challenge)
OZFM V8 right (right numberboard)
ozfm v8 e r (Elite)
ozfm v8 p r (Pro)
ozfm v8 pa r (Pro-Am)
ozfm v8 a r (Amateur)
ozfm v8 c r (Challenge)
All 3 decals you need should be the correct size for either car.
Position the series sticker to behind the front wheels and the numberboard up high between the front doors handle and the front wheel well. Use the sample designs above as a guide. They can be rotated to fit your design but no more than 30o. Depending on your livery the left and right stickers can be swapped.
For the numbers:
The font is the first set of uppercase letters (UPPER LETTERS 1). Do not use any other font. Use the skew angle of 0.17.
Font size I used
1 digit = 0.12 x 0.12
2 digits = 0.12 x 0.12
3 digits = 0.08 x 0.10
The size does not matter too much as long as it fits in the black box. And centre your number in the black box.
For the colour you will need to fine tune the colour.
Hue = 0.18
Saturation = 1.00
Brightness = 1.00
This should give you the fluro yellow colour.
Vinyl Groups are uploaded/shared.
Search "OZFM" or GT: surferofthemind.

Re: V8 Series XI - Livery Guidelines
A few tips...
* The number boards and OZFM V8 stickers are the correct size when downloaded so there is no need to make them bigger. Should be the case on all 5 cars.
* The above photos are examples of how the stickers should look when on your car. This is just a guide. The number board can be placed to the top of the door anywhere between the wheel arch and the door handle. If needed you can swap left to right, right to left to suit your livery. And the OZFM V8 sticker anywhere in that lower forward position.
* Add your race number to the number board before you rotate it and move it to its final position.
* Sharing a livery with a team mate? Best way is to save each side, top, front, rear and wing (minus the number boards and OZFM V8 stickers) and share them. Once your team mate has downloaded them they can place them on the car then add the number board and OZFM V8 stickers plus their number.
* Can I trace over the number board and OZFM V8 sticker for sharing a complete livery? If you want to, yes. Might be time consuming to get it right so best option is the one above.
* Add a photo of your car to the sign up thread if you like. And add some photos of your finished livery to the Showcase thread. Include your teams mates livery as well.

There is no need to but don't let that stop you if you want to add it. All that is required in the correct number board for your license with your race number and the OZFM V8 sticker placed on each side of your car.
