AWD Series - Round 5

This round will feature a mystery circuit, only to be released the morning (before midday) of the round.  The lobbies will be determined by an accumulation of points awarded throughout the series during the qualifying sessions.

Each driver will be awarded Qualifying points, the top half of this leaderboard will be in the top lobby with the second half making up the bottom lobby.  This leaderboard is separate to the series leaderboard.

The idea around this approach is to encourage drivers to attend each qualifying session, to reward commitment to the series and to get the best of the best in the final round competing in the same lobby.  I hope to promote close competitive battles throughout the night with those who are committed to the enjoyment of close racing not only for themselves but for their fellow OZFM members.

The concept behind only releasing the track for this round the morning of the round is to allow limited testing and tuning, allow drivers to show adaptability.  We have all driven all the tracks in FM5 in some sort of car since the release, so learning the layout should not be an issue for most, however to jump in a car you should have driven all season around a track you may not have tested on will add to the skill required to be the grand final winner.  We have driven the cars all series, we have driven all the tracks before... How hard can it be to throw the 2 together with limited practice?  Hope you enjoy this concept.

Race 1: 4 laps (random grid, half points)
Race 2: 4 laps (random grid, half points)

15 minute Qualifying session for Race 3

Race 3: 20 laps (grid based on accumulation of qualifying points from entire series). Mandatory pitstop between laps 8 and 14. Double points.
