Re: RWD Supercar Cup
Quick question.
Are these cars supposed to be built to be roughly even? Because the PI system in Forza doesn't reflect their actual speed too accurately.

Yeah, the build is make sure there is a bit of parity. Still unsure on a couple of cars but all cars so far have been around the same time (within 1sec) of each other.
There may be some form of success penalty to keep everyone in t but we'll see. Trying to show strenghs and weaknesses in each car.
Build one up and have a run

Just curious if the Porsche should be the 997 GT3 RS or just the 997 GT3 because the RS comes with an adjustable rear wing like the Ascari but you can't remove it whereas the normal GT3 has a non adjustable wing

Re: RWD Supercar Cup
The GT's I set a while back may were built almost the same (other than the aero) and were all very competitive. The parity was more with the race platform upgrades forcing limited other options under the hood to fit the PI limit. Each car had its strength and weakness and this can vary from track to track and from driver to driver.
I can see this selection of cars running well together once built and tuned so get on board and test out some cars.
Success Penalties????? Great to see it in a series and hope it stays. This has always gotten a thumbs down in the past and the handicaps have only been used to even up the cars prior to a series. Don't knock it, lets give it a go properly in a series before we ditch it. Weight penalties or Success Ballast are used across so many forms of motorsport so happy to see something similar here.

I agree with my friend here. Success penalties would be wonderful. Seems to me the only guys who object are those fastest guys racing for sheep stations. I think we should be more interested in running close races. And if the quick guys are pushed and win anyway. Then more glory to them I say. Also I gives the slow guys, like me and a few other good looking back markers lol, more incentive to try harder.

Re: RWD Supercar Cup
Single lobbies would greatly benefit as it should give us closer racing all round. We have always struggled to get more than one lobby for Fridays and this should work well. Even with split lobbies (assist free vs assisted) the slower and faster guys that wish to race together can do so even more competitively.crimson eagle73 wrote:

Re: RWD Supercar Cup
Getting my Ferrari ready. This paint is probably the best I can do or have ever done. It's a white DB9 GT1 Blancpain livery. Copied it off one of my slot cars. Lots of custom font to deal with. but so far so good.
I'm sorry I couldn't help you out much. Been working like a dog. I hope it gets better before the series kicks off.
I hope there are no livery rules cause I want this to be as close a replica as I can get it to.

Re: RWD Supercar Cup
No problem mate. There will be a bit of time before the series starts as I have exams for the next 2 weeks
The livery guidlines will be pretty lenient. I'll work that out a bit later.
I am on now and am setting up the lobby.

Re: RWD Supercar Cup
One last decision to be made.
Do people want to have ABS or TC?
I have decided that I will allow one of them but not both. This would give people a good challenge but not deter to much interest, I hope.
Series start date - Friday, 28th June, 2013.
Entries open on Sunday.

Don't run assists so I don't care. Running TC might be more popular for some people though
