After being extremely disappointed with Gran Turismo, I've now got my Forza4 and loving it.

One thing though is that there is no wheel for the xbox360???? There's the Fanatec of course, but at $800, it aint gonna happen. Any news about someone releasing one for the best racing game on earth?

Another thing, I'd like to change my forum name to my xbl gamertag. How do I make it happen?

Hey mate,

welcome to OZFM. Yeah, the wheel situtation is a bit sparse. There are some others (Mad Catz?) but they have no Force Feedback, so stuff that. Smile I'm still using an old MS one - kinda works ok... ish...

I'll try to change your forum name - you'll prolly have to log out and back in again.

welcome to OZFM mate!

in regards to a steering wheel, go to your local JB HIFI and see if you can pickup a fanatech porsche turbo s wheel, and clubsport pedals. its $499 in store and some members have managed to get it down to $450.

Yeah, I went to JB to check out that wheel. As it's only X360 compatible, I decided to give it a miss for that price.

I already have the Logitech G25, which is PS3/PC only. So the plan was to get either a cheap...ish XBOX360 wheel, or ditch the G25 and get an all-in-one wheel, hence the $800.

In my searching, I did find that Mad Catz which was around $180 (5 yeasr old) with force feedback. That would be good, but I like new stuff Smile Yes, I'm a bit of a tech junkie.

@Cracktastic - I did actually have a Fanetec wheel (Porsche Turbo I think). It was great except for a couple of issues it developed. First one being that the belts slipped, thus making the wheel sitting up to 90 degrees in order to go straight. Second being the wireless kept dropping out. Obviously not good when you need to brake going into a corner at 200 odd k's. Having said that, I think they have resolved those issues now (along with others I never encountered), and would definitely go for another Fanatec wheel. Their service response and assistance was great (HES is the distributor in Oz from memory).

Turbo S is PC/PS3/360 compat mate. Honestly if you really really really want a multiplat wheel, i'd say ditch the G25/27 (whichever you have) and grab a Fanatec GT2/CSR. Great thing about the Fanatecs is that you can use your logitech pedals so you can keep the cost down.

On a side note, is the Logitech shifter set compat with Fanatec?

Absolutely. Reallt not that impressed at all with the G25, especially considering how people rave about it.

I agree, the GT2 or CSR are my options. I've just posted a comparison chart in the OZFM harware forum from the Fanatec site http://www.fanatec.de/html/pw_overview.htm.

One wheel for the 3 systems is preferred for me. Would be more than happy to off load the G25.
