When F4 landed the new tyre engine gave me hope that T10 would have sorted the fuel usage and tyre wear issues from F3 - but sadly they haven't.

Tyres last forever no matter how hard you are on them in a race, and every car in the game has a 400ltr endurance tank apparently.



A simple way to fix this and add more depth for the serious races among us would be to put in a option in the private race multiplayer options with a sliding scale that increases the wear/usage as follows:

Tyre Wear Multiplier - 0%>

Fuel Usage Multiplier - 0%>

If this was an option then races could truly be tailor made to suit the users requirements.

So if you wanted you could have a 20 lap race but the tyres will only last 17, making the player use strategy on when to pit - see where im coming from T10?



I honestly don't understand why it was left out from the game to begin with, im sure there is enough serious races out there that would agree with me - who knows, if enough of us get behind this perhaps we will get a PATCH (hint hint) that will give us this option.

Added, my own two cents

Personally i was hoping for more variety in the tyre compounds in FM4, hard/medium/soft, much like in GT. Each set has their own grip and lifetime variables which would have eliminated the single setting we have now.

To my mind IW ceased to exist when they fired the creative directors and lost how many staff?

They've kept the name, but really IW is now a different dev.
