G'day drivers
hey everyone.
Teeroy (who I've raced with a lot) told me about this group. Looks good - plenty of active members!
So, I started with FM1 on my old xbox, got a 360 and picked up FM2 for $10 and a steering wheel. Just managed to finish that about a week before FM3 came out.
I love the graphics, the cars and the new tracks (even the modified New York) with FM3. The collisions are a bit odd, and sometimes the car tends to get a bit too airborne when clipping a corner. The music isn't as good this time (but I usually turn it off before long either way).
I've always ran manual and simulation tyres/damage/fuel. This time, I've set my difficulty to advanced, so I'm trying to get the hang of racing without traction control (take offs in high power RWD cars are interesting to say the least!). I still need my ABS though.
I started to really get into painting back in FM2 - created a Danger Mouse mini, and a Roger Ramjet Lambo. Also copied an old Hot Wheels car I had onto one of the Buick Regals. I love the ability to create a vinyl group on a canvas with a grid in this one! And the ability to share vinyl groups is great. I created a group "The Punisher" skull which has now been downloaded around 200 times by others around the world. I'm in the process of doing a "Smarties" car at the moment.
I'm also open to requests for designs
I'm pretty crap at tuning - tend to just randomly move stuff around and see what happens, so look forward to seeing other suggestions on that topic.
ok, enough of a ramble. I look forward to racing with you all!
Chris

hey all, another Teeroy inducted member *waves*
Still suck at Forza 3, but the new steering wheel makes the game far more enjoyable.

welcome to both,
send me and /or Acerylte a FR if you want a run in the practice V8 Tuesday nights,
we have a couple of more practice's before we start a short 4 week tournament.
I kinda use a wheel only, but have been trying to mod my real car to work with the xbox controler, lol
see U on the track soon,

Re: G'day drivers
Hey Si,
might see you tonight? for the V8 races.
RU four 86: Did I just read that right? You are modding you real life physical car to be driven via xbox controller? wtf? You on Mythbusters or something?
Will send you and [Edited] Acerlyte (how do you pronounce that?) a FR now.

Re: G'day drivers
I was just laying Forza (as you do when you are meant to be going to work) and saw the fun fact at the bottom "Cars used to not have steering wheels - they were steered with a lever". Heh around in circles we go.

Re: G'day drivers
Yeah! I remember Street Rod. Had to beat the guy with the Corvette at the end (was there a Scorpion on the side?).
I was massively into Pitstop II on the C64for a while.
With the Amiga came Indy 500 (for spectacular graphics, crashes and if you had the extra 512k ram - replay!).
