Driving straight
Hey crew, (& rinkly:)
is it neccessary to use a steering wheel for this game?
i find it hard to keep a racing line around bends etc.
or is there somewhere where the sensitivity can be adjusted on the controller?
Thanks

It's too late. You should have paid him when you had the chance. Jabba's put a price on your head so large, every bounty hunter in the galaxy will be looking for you. I'm lucky I found you first.

no, Reaper (fastest guy on this site) doesnt use a steering wheel, and a couple of the other fast guys (including myself) use the controller and can stick it to the wheel users.
anyway, welcome mate!!

No you don't need to use a wheel, but wean off the assists and get your manual clutch sorted. If you do get on the wheel though, it is hard to go back.

Re: Driving straight
Ah, thanks guys, for the in info! will keep up the practice then with the steering!
not sure about manual clutch for me yet (can't even remember how to drive a manual in real life:)
hey Ratel, cheers for that, i wasnt able to chat though, because didnt want to wake our household. (no, i don't yell out obscenity when i crash:)
I just saw the old xbox 101 tip about the 3 stage cornering method, 1/ straight line break, 2/ roll and turn, 3/ accelerate out of apex. Oh, to know this earlier! hehe, oh well, sliding around corners on circuit was fun...

Re: Driving straight
best way i found to go around a corner, is turn later, and have a straighter exit. while you may get better corner speed turning in early, the straighter exit gives you a much higher exit speed.
