OZFM Muscle Car Masters - Series 2

Tuesdays 2015

All drivers must read and abide by the Code of Conduct. Signing up in the sign-up thread means that entrants have read and acknowledged the Code of Conduct.
Any incidents requiring investigation should be reported to the series organiser or an Admin within 48 hours of the event, who will investigate and may penalise the person at fault. Penalties may include loss of points, and - for more serious offences - exclusion from the event. Hopefully this is not required though... Race clean, race hard and enjoy the OZFM Muscle Car Series on Forza 5.

Round 1: Laguna Seca - January 20th 2015
Round 2: Bathurst Main - January 27th 2015
Round 3: Road Atlanta Full - February 3rd 2015
Round 4: Sebring Full - February 10th 2015
Round 5: Long Beach Full - February 17th 2015
Round 6: Road America Full - February 24th 2015

Round Format:

Events will be held every Tuesday for 7 weeks.
Qualifying will be held at the participants discretion at any point up until Midnight Sunday before the next event. E.g. Event on Tuesday 27th all times must be submitted by midnight on Sunday the 25th.
Times must be completed with either a Race Coordinator, Moderator or Administrator present with all times being sent to Dektra in a personal message.

Each round will feature 2 races of roughly equal length (approx 35 minutes each)

Lobbies will open at 8:30 Eastern Daylight Time, with qualifying commencing at 9:00 EDT.

Points:

The second season of the OZFM Muscle Car Masters series is a six round championship. At the completion of six rounds, each competitor's lowest points scoring round will be excluded from the season points tally, and the remaining points allocation will determine the series champion.

In the event of two or more drivers in a round scoring the same number of points, the driver with the higher placing in the final race is awarded the higher finishing position for the round.

In the event of two or more drivers scoring equal points for the season, the driver with the greatest number of race wins is awarded the higher finishing position. If this is equal, the driver with the greatest number of second place finishes for the season is awarded the higher finishing position, and so on.

Special Rules:


Lapped cars
- It is the responsibility of the front runners to call blue flag if they come up behind a lapped car.
- It is the responsibility of the back runner to move off the racing line and allow the lead cars though at earliest convenience(Straights recommended). Failure to do so is very naughty, and won't win you any friends.

Pit Stops
- There is one mandatory pit stop in each race of each round.
- This pit stop may not be completed before lap 4 and must be completed before the last race lap.

Restarts
- Drivers are expected to show caution during the race, restarts will only be called due to excessive lag incidents.
- Drivers who are at fault for causing damage another car during the formation lap will be required to start from the pit lane, thus forfeiting their position from qualifying, they may not start until all other cars have passed.
- In the event of multiple cars requiring a pit lane start they must line up at pit exit in the order in which they qualified (fastest in front). They must still wait for all grid start cars to pass.

There will be no safety cars in this series.

Liveries
As with all OZFM series, there will be livery restrictions.
- No Explicit or Offensive Material
- Tobacco sponsorship is allowed due to car era. There may be a maximum of 2 cars with the same sponsorship. (e.g. two Marlboro cars, 2 Shannons)
- Liveries should remain period specific.
- At minimum vehicles should have their race number on the side of their car surrounded by a white box. (fonts and sizes to come)

That was nascar, muscle cars run on a 5 speed controlled box on here

I think I was putting down 1:39s on Indy GP.
Thinking about sacrificing some rear tire for more HP.

I hit 37s

High 36s I think, although I plan to rebuild now that the min weight rule has changed. I was planning on giving up some rear tire as well, but when I tried found that the XB just couldn't hit the required 5.0 handling mark, so watch out for that...
Edit - Just checked LB - 1:36.1

That's the exact reason I dropped the weight.  Z28 Camaro didn't make 5.0

do it. What you lose in rear tire you gain more than double in performance from HP.

The thing about these cars is that you can only make them handle so well but you can make them stupid fast in a straight line

'71 Mach 1 mustang please. Partly because I'm finding it quicker, but also because it's already painted. (Ironically, like an XB)
