ONE Launch Weekend Fun Run

With FM5 launching on Friday November 22 I thought we could have an online run with those who scored their ONE's on day one. So here it is...

Saturday 23 November.
Four shortish events using only stock cars that can be hired.
So no car purchase required, no tuning or upgrades needed and you don't have to have a livery or a number.


Event One:


Track: Tsukuba* Laguna Seca (it may not be new but a great way to practice as a group on a known track)
Cars: Subaru BRZ or Toyota GT86


Event 2:


Track: Silverstone GP
Car: KTM X-Bow


Event 3:


Track: Mt Panorama
Cars: Holden or Ford V8 Supercar


Event 4:


Track: Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
Cars: Ferrari or McLaren Formula 1


Assists:
All will be open...
But minimum Normal for steering and ABS for brakes.
Damage will be cosmetic.


Would start it earlyish, like 8pm.
I am sure those that got the ONE on day one will be racing away around that time to score credits and cars so why not have a little play online. This will be a very casual event do feel free to drop in when you can or drop out if needed.

This may be a one off. Might do it again the next weekend for those interested. Testing some of these new cars may lead to a future series.

If you will be racing FM5 from Day One and would like to join in let us know here or just drop in on the night.

Its of great regret that I've had to ditch all Xbox One gear and postpone until March next year now

My legit reasoning behind it all is an opportunity to travel to Ol'Blighty and its islands in February (spending time with my sis), so the $1300 in preorders would go easily go towards travel fares to GB....buuut such an opportunity doesnt come around everyday so in my eyes the Xbox can wait!

Will be keen also, then again Phillip Island and if weather is nice fishing then xbox1, but looking forward to it all the same.

With what looks like the final selection of cars up I notice we will miss out on the Scion FR-S this round... but they seem to have given us a Toyota GT86 to make up for the loss. I am happy with the swap  

As for tracks some have missed the cut for release. Not the best news but quality over quantity I suppose. Tsukuba is still a mystery until release so Laguna Seca will be a back-up for the 86 race.

Great to see so many joining up for what should be a fun night. For those holding out for a cheaper ONE, I understand (and an overseas trip would be bloody awesome and worth holding out on a new console).

Paid for mine today. Keen. Saw the one running on a 100" Ultra HD tv at hardly normal nearly didn't go back to tafe soooooo yummy and I only saw the dashboard ha ha. Also nearly parted with $9000 instead of $700 but it seems Harvey Norman dont trade in Kidneys, Left testicles or naughty children.....

I agree with the not having a wheel sentiment Dazza, but I'm in if I'm able, and I can sneak away for a while I'm keen - some of my partners family up for the weekend (of all weekends)
