Hey all.

Was just wondering if anyone has ever had any or knows of anyone who has bought a sports/performance car with some mates to spread the cost, kinda like those time share units, houses etc...

My Father in law and my wife's Grandfather approached me on the weekend with what seems like the offer of a lifetime. The 3 of us all put in for a Lotus Exige. 20grand each, 4 Months of the year each and we spread the cost of rego and servicing.... The original though was to get an Areial Atom but due to the "Nanny State" (Mark Webber) we live in the Atom can not be road registered Sad

My question is this. Is this an amazing opportunity or a disaster waiting to happen?

Also i get on with my father in law like my own Dad, and same with my wife's Grandfather.

20 grand plus ongoing costs for a car that you only use for 4 months a year, hmm each to there own but not me.

Id let them buy it and get a few drives of them or buy it yourself.
