Wicked another car from the jalopnik pack is confirmed in the game. We are getting closer to an RX3, i’ve heard rumours of a VL Group A as well and a HK Monaro. Cant wait to see if this comes true.

i know its been a while but this series was one that went really well and is one that i think should be followed up with a series 2 as it was a good mix of vehicles.

I can't share my full thoughts on this, the judge would have a field day.
But, whether you're a Porsche fan or not, that news is pure BS!
Porsche simply CAN'T be replaced, by "the new makes and models that have taken their place". The replacements will need to be bloody good.

Its all EA's fault, in the article they said they tried over and over again over 18 months. i dont blame T10, they did what they could, but EA are just tight arses.

EA are taking themselves way too seriously what with BF3 and all this Origin crap.

Agreed Danno, doubtless T10s hands are tied and EA can take a lot of credit for it.
Still the decision will have been made on hard commercial reality and thats T10+EA, not EA by itself.

This wouldn't stop me from buying the game, but the big question now is what additional cars will be introduced to replace Porsche?
A few RUFs is hardly enough. The game already has enough US heavy metal, I don't need any more BMWs, Vipers or 'Vettes and I don't crave a bigger dose of Korean car couture. Heaven help us if they add a "Great Wall" SUV to the mix. Maybe this revelation goes part way to explaining the early inclusion of some other sports car manufacturers that were only added as DL in FM3. But while I'm 50/50 love/hate on Porsches, I'm still not happy to lose them from the game. Maybe a few more race car variants...

What a crok of Shyt. As danno mentioned, looks like they are playing the bully tacktic.. only cause turn 10 have produced a better racing game then any of the EA Car racing titles.. there just scared of being out done (which its to late already) so they arent sharing what they have.. Time to trade in SHIFT 2 i think !!!!

I think that sums up EA nicely.


On another note perhaps it will allow T10 to hit a area that no one has - The Aussie Car Market.

I'm not a Porsche fan, i'm just a man of principle. They had them in FM3, the HAVE to be in FM4. A sequel should not have less features than the preceding game, and i'm not even over the moon for FM4...

I really do hope this doesn't mean no bathurst all this licencing bs sucks. Porsche as a manufacturer should be able to release the rights to anyone they wish. I think its a bsd thing for porsche not getting their cars included in the most anticipated racing game ever..

Looking at RUF's website and their cars look like better versions of a Porshe anyways......so hopefully Turn10 can include the whole range of them and EA can go *&#% themselves
