2017 Formula Ford - Starts Tuesday 31st January 2017

Following on from the Formula Mazda series, we kick it up to the next level. These cars handle well but will require some pedal management.

1- The Car

Formula Ford

Tune by: Jedeye Jones (Filename: OZFMFINAL)

For every race, every car will be using this LOCKED TUNE. You can search for "OZFMFINAL" in the description or search for the creator "Jedeye Jones".

Please display your Race Number on the Car. You can download the Series Numberboard by searching for "ozfm ff" by "Jedeye Jones". There are no other Livery Guidelines, so go nuts. Just remember nothing offensive or anything that breaches the Forza 6 Livery Rules.

2- Race Format

This series will be contested across 8 weekly Rounds held on a Tuesday night, starting on the 31st January 2017.

Lobbies will open at 8:15pm NSW (7:15pm QLD) with Race 1 commencing at 8:30pm NSW (7:30pm QLD). Each Race night should be 2 Hours or less in total.

Each Round will consist of 2 x Sprint Races at the shorter version of the Weeks Track, with 1 Long Race, on the Full Circuit.

Round 3 and Round 6 will be classed as "Enduro Rounds". They will have 1 x 90 minute Race.

3- Point System

Similar to F1, each Race will award the following points:

1st - 25
2nd - 18
3rd - 15
4th - 12
5th - 10
6th - 8
7th - 6
8th - 4
9th - 2
10th and above - 1

Race 3 each week, plus both "Enduro Rounds", will be awarded DOUBLE POINTS.

4- The Championship

There will be Two Championships, a Driver and a Team Championship. You need to participate in 5 out of 8 Rounds to be eligible for both the Drivers Championship and Team Championship. There will be NO DROPPED ROUNDS.

Team Championship (2 Drivers per Team)

You don't have to race in a Team, however if you choose to, you will need to have the same livery.

Please try to have one fast driver and one not so fast driver in the team, if possible.

Weekly points will be combined from both drivers.

Round 3 - 14/02/2017 - Circuit de Spa - 1 Race (Enduro) DOUBLE POINTS

Round 4 - 21/02/2017 - Catalunya – 3 Races

Round 5 - 28/02/2017 - Sonoma – 3 Races

Round 6 - 07/03/2017 - Long Beach - 1 Race (Enduro) DOUBLE POINTS

Round 7 - 14/03/2017 - Silverstone – 3 Races

Round 8 - 21/03/2017 - Watkins Glen – 3 Races

Upcoming Round information will be posted on the OZFM Forums/Facebook Page each Thursday before the following Race.

6- Series Rules

Some additional Rules to go along with anything else already mentioned in this thread:

1- Every Race will have One Mandatory Pit-Stop.

2-  After each Round (based on Total Round Points), the following Head Start will apply for the next Round:

Top 3 = No Head Start
Everyone Else = Time Based Head Start Depending on Track

This is to try and keep things close and interesting for everyone each week.

All cars will be running at 80% power for the series. This improves the control of the car.

3- Every Race will be a RANDOM GRID with NO ROLLING STARTS.

4- There is also the possibility of Championship Point Penalties if it is deemed necessary, this will be determined by an COMS Officials in their dedicated sections.

5- Settings are forced to Traction Control Off, Stability Control Off, ABS Off. Manual or Manual with Clutch.

6- All Races will be a Forced Cockpit View.
