V8 Series 10 - Livery Guidelines

OZFM V8 Series Livery Guidelines

Like a Star @ heaven  All cars will require a livery.

Like a Star @ heaven  Numberboards and Race Numbers:
- - Distributed numberboard are to be used.
- - Numberboards should be present on both sides of the car.
- - Numberboards must not be modified in any way other than your race number.
- - Use the font "UPPER LETTERS 1" only for your race number.
- - Number colour needs to be fluro yellow (pick yellow and adjust a few clicks towards green).
- - Numberboard to be positioned between the front wheel arch and the front door handle. Must be positioned to the top of the door/fender and can be angled no more than 30o
* * The numberboard is similar to the event sticker used by V8 Supercars or the Dunlop sticker in the Dunlop Series but ours will have your race number.

Like a Star @ heaven  Series sticker to be shown on car.
- - Must be placed low on the front fender behind the front wheel.
- - Must not be modified in any way.
- - Can be angled no more than 30[s]o[/s]
* * Similar to the series sticker used by V8 Supercars and the Dunlop Series.

Like a Star @ heaven  Sponsors:
- - Anything goes, however...
- - No tobacco (banned in all Australian motor racing)
- - Alterations to tobacco advertising will not be allowed (eg: "Benson & Hedges" to "Be On Edge", "Marlboro" as a barcode, etc)
- - Nothing explicit or offensive (A posted video or photo featuring the offending design may see your GamerTag banned by T10 or M$)

Like a Star @ heaven  Vinyl Groups:
- - All required vinyls will be shared.
- - All Numberboards and Series sticker should be the correct size.
* * Photos below show their size on the car.

Like a Star @ heaven  Body Work and Tints:
- - Painting of widebodies, vents, extra side exhausts, etc will not be allowed.
- - Windows to retain original tint. No darker or coloured tints allowed (because Racecar).
- - This series is based on the real world V8 Supercar series so the cars must replicate those.

Like a Star @ heaven  Replica Liveries:
- - Will be accepted but must follow the livery rules.

Like a Star @ heaven  Shared Liveries:
- - You may download a shared livery but must follow the Livery rules (numberboard rule will not be enforced).
- - If using a shared livery try to use one that is either a replica or inspired by the official V8 Supercars, Dunlop Series or NZ V8's.
- - Series organisers will need to approve downloaded shared liveries.
- - Painters can create multiple liveries following the rules and share them for other drivers to run.

Like a Star @ heaven  The livery rules must be adhered to by all competitors and painters.

(images show old series logo. Use new series X logo in its place)

WHere are the stickers we need?  scratch

Search for OZFM and you will find plenty of stickers, 3 for the V8's and more for other events (eg: Formula Ford, etc). The V8 stickers should be the correct size for both cars.

How to find the stickers:

Select your car, go to Paint.
Select Apply Decals.
Select New Layer, then Apply a Vinyl Shape.
Press the left bumper to go to Recommended Groups.
Press the button that looks like 2 squares (what was the old Back button) to open up the search.
In the description type in "OZFM" then select search.
You should find the decals you need.
OZFM V8 X (the Series sticker)
OZFM V8 left (left numberboard)
OZFM V8 right (right numberboard)

** If you were part of the V8 Series 9 the numberboards should already be saved in you Vinyl Groups.
** The numberboards will also be used on the Ruffle Cup cars (no series sticker needed).

All 3 decals should be the correct size for either car.
Position the series sticker to behind the front wheels and the numberboard up high between the front doors handle and the front wheel well. Use the sample designs above as a guide. They can be rotated to fit your design but no more than 30o.

For the numbers:

The font is the first set of uppercase letters (UPPER LETTERS 1). Do not use any other font.

Font size I used
1 digit = 0.10 x 0.09
2 digits = 0.09 x 0.09
3 digits = 0.08 x 0.09

The size does not matter too much as long as it fits in the black box. And centre you number in the black box.

For the colour you will need to fine tune the colour.
Hue = 0.18
Saturation = 1.00
Brightness = 1.00
This should give you the fluro yellow colour.

Question which I think I already know the answer: Any way to paint the Holden's wing? I'm guessing not.

Bugger. Knew there was a reason I went Ford before. Can't be bothered starting again. Cheers anyway.

I can make one for you. I've got a few v8 replicas. I've got a Volvo polestar racing one or and xbox one racing replica from Bathurst last year, or I can make you something from scratch?

If I get a chance tonight I will share the TAG, Mobil and Michelin logos. There should be plenty of decent ones shared already but if you want mine, no probs. The number board is the same as the V8's.

As for the liveries available... The Holden has been taken but the Ford is still up for grabs.

Thanks Surfer. I always prefer getting logos from you guys even if there are other good ones out there because I don't have to have a good look at them to make sure they're perfect. With your names on them I automatically know you've created them down to a T because you're freaks of nature with this stuff and everything you do is awesome. Cheers.
