Your racing preferences

Post by baconterrain on Wed May 16, 2012 9:10 am

Lately there has been a lot of talk about assists and forced views. So instead of a poll a simple question:

What's your preferred race set up for a series?
(copy the questions change the answers to suit)

Here are my answers;

Car view: bonnet cam, don't mind in car depending on car.
Transmission: manual (no clutch)
TCS:Off
ABS:Off
Stability Control: Off
Steering: normal/sim, depends on the car.
Suggested line: Off, never used it.
Steering wheel or controller: Unfortunately controller.

This doesn't mean anything but I think it might be interesting to see how people race.

Stability Control:
Steering:
Suggested line:

Car view: Bumper
Transmission: manual (with clutch)
TCS:Off (some cars I use TCS, still learning to not use it)
ABS:Off
Stability Control: Off
Steering: normal (since Title update wrecked it for the Fanatec Wheel)
Suggested line: Braking Line on some tracks
Steering wheel or controller: Wheel

This will sit you further back in the car Smile - i can see the passenger side A pillar in most cars so you can see the whole bonnet from in car. Only "blind" spot will be the direct passenger side, which is easily managed with the right thumb stick or by keeping an eye on the "meters behind" - if its under 7m and you see someone going for a move on your blind side leave room for 2 cars and set yourself for the next corner.

Ive run 2 wide around half the Nurburgring on this view with reapr, no contact between cars

Sorry Recoil, taking over OD's job while he's away, and franktank isn't watching Smile

Slowing down and/or stopping a moving vehicle is spelled "BRAKING".
BREAKING means to break something e.g. you will BREAK your car if you run into something because you didn't BRAKE soon/hard enough.

anywho... Cool

PS I corrected your post ^^
