Forza Idol 2.0

It's back for FM4! ARMIPOTENT ADAM is setting up for Forza Idol 2. Do you have what it takes to be the Forza Idol?

This is a comp for Painters. How will it work? Adam will give you a template consisting of a main sponsor, number-boards, etc required for a set series (eg: Super GT Japan). There will be a list of available cars to paint, some may have a specific build to use.

This comp is judged, there will be no public voting so the better paint will win, not the most popular. The judges will comment on all designs, remember this is constructive criticism not putting down your work. If you make it to the next round use the advice from the judges to make the next livery a winner.

Those paints in the last comp are some of the very best.

I know Seano and Fez has signed up for Idol 2. Should be awesome to see what all the contestants can create this time around.

Thanks for the comments on the liveries. The top 4 paints above by Seano and myself are all remade in FM4. You have to be lucky to grab the Ozoshi Evo as it is on the HKS Evo but he did make a Colt version for fun. A few of the others we made are also here in FM4, just check out our SF's (and my sons, JDD3stroyer).

Make sure you check out all the liveries from the last Idol as there were some incredible designs made by some very talented people. And if you do enter make sure you bookmark those pages as the old designs and comments will give you pointers to get you through to the next round.

Once the contest begins I will start a new thread for our OZFM entrants to post their WIPs. I will be happy to give what ever advice I can to help you make it to the next round.

Looking forward to Forza Idol 2.0... I just hope i can make the cut as I've noticed alot of big names already signed up.

WIP:
Decided to use the logo as a main feature. However I'm still not settled on the colour scheme... C.C. is welcome.

I like the base design. Very simple but works well. Love the rocket trail and how it divides the base. Unsure what Adam will say but that is the winning part of the design to me. Colours look good but a little unsure on the black text and black front. Another colour to try is the navy blue from the full logo. Maybe add a similar rocket trail to the hood to add another colour there.
Something else to try... Make the "Hobby Kits" box bigger so it is the same length as the "awa".
Over all it looks great. All you need to do now is add a heap of logos.

Thanks for the advice surfer, I'll see how i go. I have a design confrence wed-friday so won't be in the paint booth much this week... Can't wait to see what some of the 'big boys' put up as their designs. I just hope I can make into round 2.

Looking awesome!
I did like the thinner rocket trail on the 1st WIP but the colours now look great. Love the blue with the light glow in the background. Starting to look believable now.
Be careful with logo placement as the back end does not look as tidy as the rest and EBBRO? Unsure if it fits with a rival as major sponsor... Plastic Model co. vs Model Car co. Personally I would go with a non-model company.

It is hard with the back end because there is a fair bit of distortion around the rear wheel arch and back pillar, I think it may be a bit bare for Adams liking but the distortion of the logos just looks worse... I put EBBRO on there because i noticed that a fair few of the SuperGT cars had them as a sponsor. I guess i could've just done a quick google search but i got lazy haha...

Newest WIP: Some of the designs that are coming out are going to make it extremely difficult for Adam to judge.
