This place looks fantastic.

Post by crimson eagle73 on Sat Dec 26, 2009 8:35 pm

Hi guys.
I'm fairly new to the game so I still suck lol.
Purchased it in Oct with the ms steering wheel. I use mostly no assists. Everything off except braking line.
I've had a go at painting (done a nice looking Brisbane Waters patrol Car). And currently I'm doing the time trials. Currently 600 or so out of 1200 racers so I doubt I'll win any prize money. I am improving though.
LOL I don't really care because you can use the hire driver on enduro for 2 hours and get the money that way.

I can't wait to see a few more fords/holdens that are not supercars. Along with everyone's favourite track Bathurst. It'll be a happy day when they include that in the DLC. Makes me wonder how hard it is for them to do a track. Does it take a lot longer or something. I bet if they did Bathurst. Almost everyone would get it. Inc our friends from America and England.

we are all still on a new page with this game ourselves..........

if you need help on the upgrading side of things, i created an "Upgrading and Modification Tutorial" which is located in the FM3 steups thread.

G'day mate,

Welcome to the OZFM forum. You'll find there's a good group of clean racers and plenty of guys ready to lend a hand to each other.

Reason you can't get to the tutorial is, there's a restriction on who can get to the tuning section, so that genuine members can benefit from each others work but hit and run raiders can't.
Turns out that Mitch's tutorial is in the FM3 setups which you don't have access to yet.

I've sent a PM to Mitch to let him know.

That's cool. I'm not really at a level where a tune would help me all that much. I'm still trying to keep it on track. Although I have played around a bit. Those holdens and ford V8's are supper twitchy if you don't tweak the settings and add heaps of down force. Even then you need pretty good throttle control and not gun it the moment you exit a turn.

ah......

yes, we had to introduce new regs for new members. Unfortunatley, there seem to be members that have joined, but with no intended benefit to the forum. Eg: only joined to view the tunes ect. So whilst we dont want to stereotype all of our new members, and we dont want to punish them, its just something that needed to be put in place to avoid this.

So it goes on how many post you make, so if there is a topic that is of some interest to you within the forum that you do have acces to, get involved!!! best way to get to know some of the active members!!! we are still working on the best way to benefit ALL of our members....

i have got ur FR, im on everynight, so send us a party/game invite, and we'll go for a spin!!

I figured it'd be something like that. It's good I found this place because finding clean racers is going to be a priority for me in a couple of months when I get good enough to race clean myself. Right now I'm a bit like Rossi lol.
Online for me now is a bit of a giggle. I get rammed on the first turn and am not good enough to recover the time lost. Usually I just wait a bit until after the first turn and then cruise past the noobs. But even then they wait until the second lap and then ram you. Not fun.
