Hi guys, just want to introduce myself really
Hi, I joined this forum late last year but really struggled to get involved due to joining forza 3 so late but ive got myself 4 copies of forza 4 and have 2 racing simulators good to go. Thanks alot for allowing me to join the club and I look forward to getting some races happening with you all. I have 3 xbox's setup on my main sim with 3x 22" monitors and Ive got fanatec gt2 wheel with g25 pedals and fanatec sequential shifter setup on it, but although it's a cool setup I do struggle at the game so far, I did a V8 Supercar race at Leguna Seca of 20 laps on hard and came dead last, they were within sight the whole race but I couldn't seem to catch them after they spun me out early. So before I race online, I think ill practice a bit more, could anyone let me know what sort of lap times you get racing a V8 on Leguna Seca? I could only manage about 1:40 at best whilst I noticed the AI was getting about 1:37 so Im definately off the pace, I was using manual w/clutch
Ill make sure im posting more often and do you have club races etc?
Thanks,
Aaron.

Hey aaron,
good to see you're going to get involved now that FM4 is here to play with.
That sounds like a race rig to envy for sure. Though I reckon you'd fall in love with some clubsport pedals if you give them a go.
Send out some FRs and you can compare lap times on leaderboards etc.
You can do that with other OZFM club members too.
We have a few guys who spend a lot of time racing online public and private lobbies. So you should be able to hook up with them without too much trouble.
As for the AI in FM4 they get pretty physical don't they. Way too physical imo. All you can do is give it back and work on your speed.
You'll find our online racing is run to much better driver code than FM4 AI, lol.
Stay tuned in to the forum, you'll see races getting organised pretty soon.
cheers

Re: Hi guys, just want to introduce myself really
I actually do have some clubsport pedals, they are on my 2nd simulator with another gt2 wheel, I have the g25 bolted down to my frame and couldnt be bothered swapping them but if you think they would actually improve my lap times then I will swap them over. Ive got kinect set up on both of them too, Its more needed on single screen setup as obviously triple screen gives 180 degrees view but it's still nice to use just to peek around that little bit more. Oh and about the physical AI, you are more then correct, they seem to fish tail me almost every damn race as soon as Im in the pack with them surrounding me. Hopefully a patch will sort that out

Jeebus, talk about terminal envy, good thing we can't have to many toys, lol.
Nothing will guarantee you better lap times except going faster. :scratch.
I just love the CS pedals because of the great feel you get from the brake.
But you're in the best position to decide whether you;r faster with the CS or G25s pedal setup.
