Fanatec H-Pattern Shifter Mod

Post by Redna1L on Sat Aug 27, 2011 8:08 am

Hi guys did this mod to my shifter and thought I would share it.
Not my own work just copied this information then removed the gear knob itself and replaced with a $20 leather number I got from Supercheap.

Got to say I prefer it. One it doesn't have that terrible click anymore and two the extra weight of the gear knob seems to make finding the right gear a little easier.

Hopefully this will tide me over until the Club Sport shifter come out.

Nice one Redna1L.

I couldn't bring myself to use the H pattern for the reasons you've mentioned.
I enjoy using the sequential (modded) when I'm not using the paddles.

This mod might just be the incentive for me to give the H pattern a try.

likewise on the sequential shifter mate. constantly changing the setting in Forza was a pain in the ass.

Looks good!

I was tempted to swap the gear knob with the nice leather one I have in my Outback, but the little woman, won,t let me....
