Greetings!
Hey there.
Name is Mike, 23 going on 24. Used to race in a competition called V8COC (anyone here from that? probably not) with an old game called V8Challenge about 4 or 5 years ago but fell out of it when I started College. Recently picked up Forza 3 pretty much because I hadn't played a car game in years and it was fairly cheap.
After playing for a while I can't believe I ever stopped
Figured I'd give competing another shot as it was always a fun pass time for me and I feel like I've got the spare time these days to make the commitment to it. As an Aussie I like V8s, very heavily into racing the classic cars but I'm pretty much into any style of racing. Used to play a few Sims like GPL and Nascar 2003 and I dabbled in rFactor and LFS towards the end. Pretty much just like racing cars around a track
I definitely need to get my skills up to where they were but I look forward to joining you guys in some fun racing.
I've seen a few different competitions marked up here and was wondering what one would be the best to jump into, obviously something fairly casual and I still need to invest in a Racing Wheel for my Xbox (shame my old Logitech Momo won't work, that's still a great wheel.). Anyway I'm open to suggestions and eager to get into it
Cheers
- Mike

Re: Greetings!
G'day Mike,
Welcome to the board.
We have a V8 series running at present, a bit late to enter that and maybe a bit intense
for what you're looking to do at this stage.
You should still be able to find races though.
Guys will be running regular practice nights for the V8s and you should be able to get a start with them.
Our V8 car specs allow all garage mods except engine. PI will be around 727-728, though you can run the stock FM3 build if you like.
Otherwise watch the forum for casual race nights being organised.
You can also try the Time Trial Challenge if you like racing against the clock.
The best idea is to get some FRs out to members who are regulars on forum and you'll find they're online and racing most nights.
Your race wheel options are limited on the xbox and you'll find a number of threads on forum with info about whats available.
So have a look around, let us know if you have trouble finding anything on forum and we'll get you sorted.
cheers

Re: Greetings!
Thanks for the support guys
Still have to go ahead and subscribe to Xbox Live Gold (never played online with my Xbox before...despite having one for over four years.)
Once I've done that I'll be sure to start adding some of you guys.
