a shit load of editing.........basically you tweak some settings and whola 
..was hard enough getting it right for a single photo...this bloke has some awesome skills to do it for video....hats off

cool,
I recon they use a several filters, one being a Vignette ( focus in the centre and blurred out) the contrast has been adjusted way up along with the sharpness.
Maybe dropped the frame rate down to 8 or 10 Fps, to give it that jerky movement too.
some big number crunching either way, looks impressive,

I though he may have used a still camera, with a heap of photos taken in bursts.

could well be true, it was just my un-educated guess, post production video software is pretty amazing too, really I got know idea, great find with the link, I might even pm the guy and ask him!
